Thank you, Ms. Bonnie! 🎉THIS WEEK WE RECOGNIZE AND THANK OUR SCHOOL MANAGERS! Please take a few moments to thank YOUR School Manager! Are you wondering what a School Manager does? Well...they do ALOT!

"I am the first and last point of contact for all visitors. I answer all phone calls and coordinate all messages. I am responsible for student attendance records, transportation, management of the front office, payroll, accounts receivable and payable, staff attendance, teacher coverage/substitutes, the school calendar, overseeing all maintenance, maintaining all forms, ordering school supplies, and the annual operating budget....."

" I schedule assemblies and field trips, file for grants, report accidents, assist staff with benefits management, assist with special events, work with our Community Partners, maintain the Crisis Plan, keep PowerSchool records up-to-date, oversee the FARMS applications..."

"My job as a school manager involves wearing many hats but to sum it up...I make sure the building doors are open for business and the people in it have a safe learning environment every day."

"I make sure everything is running smoothly from the financial standpoint, and for students, teachers, custodians, cafeteria staff, bus drivers and outside organizations. I try to make sure all of the staff have what they need, and I arrange coverage for staff absences and for all of our IEP meetings. I try hard everyday to make sure I do all of this with a smile. I absolutely love my job!"

"A good School Manager should know what's going on in their building at all times and be able to shuffle options on the fly to make proper decisions that will keep the school running smoothly. It often involves the manipulation chaos into order, while managing the front office, answering hundreds of questions daily, maintaining open communication with administration and the health office and being the strong, yet supportive face at the front desk. And it needs to look seamless. I can't imagine a more rewarding position !!!
