CDES loves our community partnerships, especially with For All Seasons! CDES partnered with For All Seasons at the end of the 21-22 school year to spotlight Mental Health Awareness Month in May. Students had fun throwing biodegradable confetti for the “Spread the Joy Confetti Challenge” and received awesome water bottles that stated, “Be Kind to Your Mind”! Thank you again for supporting our students, staff, and families’ mental health, For All Seasons Behavioral Health and RCC!

Thanks, CDES! We love projects like these that benefit students
In May, Councell Farms presented to the 4th graders of Talbot County. Every student planted their own pumpkin. We told them it would be exciting to see what variety they picked based on the seed. Our crop report back from Chapel’s own is pretty impressive!!! #ageducation #pumpkinfarm ... See MoreSee Less

Please welcome our new Office Manager Ms. Christy Paugh! Christy comes to Chapel with extensive experience in other TCPS departments and schools! She will be such an asset to the Chapel family! 🎉
My name is Christina Fike Paugh (Christy). I am the mom of three amazing young men (Tyler 31, Zach 20, & Peyton 17). I currently live in Easton, but I grew up on Fike's Orchard in Cordova and attended Cordova Elementary and Upper County Elementary Schools (which is now Chapel District Elem.). I am a graduate of Easton High School, which is where I have worked in the Guidance Dept. for the last 5 yrs of my 17.5 yrs with Talbot County Public Schools. I attended both Anne Arundel Community College and Chesapeake College. My oldest son has blessed me with my first granddaughter who lives right across the street from me. My middle son, Zach, is starting his Junior year at McDaniel College, and my youngest son, Peyton, is a senior at EHS. I enjoy watching and attending my son's sporting events in the evenings/weekends along with family time by the pool. I have enjoyed my many years with Talbot County Public Schools (Board Office, SMMHS & EHS) but I am extremely excited for this new chapter at Chapel and spending many more exciting years with you. Please stop in the office and say "Hi". I look forward to meeting and working with everyone!

THANK YOU CARRION ELECTRIC - Our Community Partner of the Year for 2022!Carrion Electric - Chapel District Elementary
Carrion Electric, owned by Ryan and Jen Carrion, has provided for our CDES students and staff for the 2021-2022 school year. Carrion Electric goes above and beyond each year by adopting multiple classrooms for our PTO’s “Adopt a Classroom” program, which allows teachers to purchase necessary instructional materials for their classroom and students. Each year, Carrion Electric is one of our top donors to this program. In addition, Carrion Electric sponsored our PTO’s Fall Carnival, which provided a day of fun and engaging activities for all of our Chapel families to partake in. The Carrion family is always willing to adopt multiple families for our Giving Tree program during the holidays and is always willing to ask, “How can we best support Chapel students and staff?” We are so proud to recognize Ryan and Jen Carrion, of Carrion Electric, who are also proud Talbot County Public Schools alumni.

This award was established through the Education Foundation by Ms. Susie Firth and her family, in memory of her son Peter Wood. It is given annually to the teacher or staff member who goes above and beyond the call of duty to encourage, motivate, and support special education students. This person demonstrates compassion, creativity, joy, and pride in their interaction with students and their families; encourages the students to never give up despite their challenges; and patiently guides them to reach their personal goals.
