Easton High School Interactive Media Production Career and Technical Education Pathway Hosted the 6th Annual “Film-in” Challenge. 16 students on 4 different teams competed to storyboard, film, and edit a 1-4 minute narrative sequence, all within the span of 24 hours.

The Teacher and Support Staff of the Year Program recognizes outstanding educators who have innovative ideas, focus positive attention on education, and demonstrate superior commitment to students.

Special Education Parent Involvement Survey

Parents or guardians of children receiving special education and related services were mailed the Maryland Special Education Parent Involvement Survey from the Maryland State Department of Education, Division of Special Education/Early Intervention Services during the week of February 8, 2021. Parents are asked to complete the survey and return it in the postage-paid envelope by May 21, 2021. The survey may also be completed online. Parent feedback will help guide efforts to improve special education and related services in your local school system. March 20th CDC Update

Since learning of the new CDC guidelines for social distancing in schools, and after speaking with Dr. Maguire and the Board of Education, our Administrative Team has been reviewing our recovery plan and our hybrid model to ensure a smooth transition to more in-person instruction.

March 12th marks one year exactly since Talbot County Public Schools enacted a two-week school shut-down due to Covid-19. Sitting at home that Friday afternoon watching Governor Hogan’s press conference with Dr. Karen Salmon was extremely surreal, and this would mark the beginning of a long and difficult set of procedures taken by the school system to ensure the student’s and faculty’s safety during the Covid-19 pandemic. I think it was hard for all of us to comprehend the gravity of the situation that early on.

Governor Larry Hogan and State Superintendent Dr. Karen Salmon visited Talbot schools on Friday, February 26th. Together they toured the new Easton Elementary School building, visiting several classrooms. Both the Governor and Dr. Salmon took the time to read to students in recognition of Read Across America Day, which takes place next Tuesday, March, 2.
