TCPS Website Accessibility Standard and Accessibility Notice
Talbot County Public Schools (“TCPS”) recognizes the importance of ensuring that its website and electronic communications are accessible to individuals with visual, motor, auditory, or other disabilities. TCPS is committed to providing effective communications and is constantly working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website.
This website endeavors to conform and comply with both the American with Disability Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 508), and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG) as specified by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible and TCPS works to educate our staff so that the content they may post on their websites will be compliant with ADA/508 guidelines and WCAG specifications.

TCPS strives to resolve all complaints regarding website accessibility as soon as possible and will notify the Complainant within one week of receipt of the complaint to provide the Complainant with a response to the complaint and the anticipated timeline for resolution. Upon receipt and review of the Complaint, the Section 504 Coordinator will refer the complaint to the appropriate TCPS staff member(s) for resolution and will serve as a liaison between TCPS staff and the Complainant during the pendency of the investigation. The Section 504 Coordinator will notify the complainant once the accessibility problem is resolved.
