MD Special Education Parent Involvement Survey

Each year, the Maryland Special Education Parent Involvement Survey is conducted through the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), Division of Early Intervention, and Special Education Services. All parents or guardians of children ages 3 to 21 who are receiving special education and related services through their local school system are invited to participate.

The purpose of this survey is to determine how well schools are partnering with parents and promoting parent involvement in children’s education. The feedback will help guide efforts to improve special education and related services in local school systems. The survey is anonymous, and parents are cautioned not to include any personally identifiable information.

Please note:

  • The survey takes five minutes to complete.
  • The survey should be completed in one sitting. If the survey is not complete before closing, the user must start over.
  • The survey will be open until May 29, 2022.

For more information, please see the Parent Involvement Survey Frequently Asked Questions.
