The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), is opening up a pathway for local education agencies (LEAs) to repurpose certain days as virtual school days in the 2022-2023 school year.

The days that may be considered for this opportunity include inclement weather days (i.e., snow days), staff professional learning days, high school graduation days to enable teachers to assist with or attend the graduation, or other similar circumstances described in this application.

Below is a link to the TCPS Virtual Learning Plan. Please leave any feedback using the form linked below. Results will be presented to the Board of Ed at the July Meeting. Form will be open through July 8th.

TCPS Students Successfully Complete CNA Program

A cohort of 14 high school juniors and seniors have officially earned Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credentials. All of the students completed 100 theory hours, 40 clinical hours, and an exam as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing with a 100% pass rate. They were given the opportunity to practice hands-on skills in local facilities and are now employable as Certified Nursing Assistants. Several will pursue degrees in Nursing at the collegiate level.
