St. Michaels Middle High and Easton High schools have announced achievement results for the graduating class of 2024. A total of 343 students received diplomas from Talbot County high schools. Of the students receiving diplomas, the school district reports that 226 planned to enter a two- or four-year college or technical school,112 intended to enter directly into the workforce and five (5) planned to serve our country in the military.
The TCPS Class of 2024 diploma graduates:
- 168 students (49%) completed at least one Advanced Placement course before graduating.
- 97 students (28.3%) earned credit for at least one dual enrollment course at the community college level.
- 153 (44.6%) seniors fulfilled requirements for at least one Career and Technology Education Completer program, with 18 students completing more than one.
- 122 (35%) graduates reported being offered at least one scholarship.
- 234 (68%) of graduating seniors reported that they were admitted to a two or four year college.
- TCPS graduates were awarded a reported total of $18,999,927 in scholarships, with $668,356 being local scholarships.
- The composite SAT score was 991 for math and critical reading for the class of 2024.
- The preliminary graduation rate for TCPS high schools is 98% with a drop-out rate of just .86 %.
