The Talbot County Public School system is committed to providing a Free Appropriate Public Education to all students, age 3 through age 21, who have been determined as having special educational needs. The parental rights below explain policies and procedures, which are related to providing for students with special needs.

The Talbot County Board of Education is committed to promoting the worth and dignity of all individuals. The Board will not tolerate or condone any act of bias, discrimination, harassment, insensitivity, or disrespect toward any person on the basis of race, color, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, religion, socio-economic status or disabling condition, including in employment.

Inquiries about Title IX may be referred to Talbot County Public Schools’ Title IX Coordinator, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, or both.
